Maker and Restorer of Fine Bows Expert Appraisals Where to Find Us © Michael J. Taylor          ell known for its white sands, the north Costa Blanca, running up from Alicante and the lesser known  (outside of Spain)  Costa del Azahar (Orange blossom Coast) running  down from Valencia, are particularly attractive areas of Spain. The  mountain ranges of the Aitana and Bernia run from south of Benidorm to Jávea and help give the area its stunning backdrop. From north of the freshwater lake of L’Albufuera, the Valencian orange groves  run south for nearly 100 kilometres. The Albufuera region is also well known for being one of Europe’s largest rice growing regions.      Jávea has its own mountain feature called ‘Montgo’, known to the locals as the Elephant mountain for its amazing likeness to the Indian Elephant. Beacuse of this rugged unspoiled beauty, the area has been designated a national park status by the central government. On a clear day from Jávea or the local village of Benitachell it is possible to see the island of Ibiza about 90 kilometres from the mainland.      Thanks to ‘Montgo’ giving Jávea its unique micro climate, the World Health Organization has called the area one of the healthiest places in the world to live (and from my point of view, to make bows).
